Bachelor of Library and information science (BLIS) is a one year undergraduate program. This program BLIS prepares students for jobs in knowledge organizations, information handling, and library management. They will also learn how to use library software, computers, and digital tools like E-commerce and online databases. The course focuses on helping users find the right information easily and quickly. 

BLIS students at MIU develop skills in communication, research and managing library services in a user friendly way. As the growth of digital libraries and online information systems, the demand for library and information professionals is increasing. MIU eligibility for BLIS course is bachelor degree in any discipline degree in any discipline from recognised university. After completing the degree students can go for further education as MLIS or pursue their career as Librarian, Information Scientist, Knowledge Manager, Library Assistant, Digital Librarian and more.
