Program Overview

B.Sc. in Operation Theatre & Anesthesia Technology is a 3 year Bachelor’s degree which aims at preparing candidates to assist doctors and other healthcare personnel in their surgical operations. The program trains the candidate to acquire the requisite knowledge and skills to handle equipment used in operation theatre, maintaining sterilization process, handling administration of anesthesia and patient monitoring. The areas of study include human anatomy, physiology, pathology, anesthesia technology, surgery techniques, operation theatre techniques, pharmacology, infection control and patient care.

MIU provides this course in full-time mode, through lectures in classrooms, laboratory training and internship programs. The course trains candidates in technical, analysis, communication and patient care skills required in the healthcare industry. Candidates eligible for admission should be holders of 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized board.
